Freezing!

This week our topic work was all to do with freezing! We started the week by looking at thermometers and taking the temperature. We went all around the school to find the hottest and coldest places. The coldest place was outside (1C) and the warmest was in the office (23C). Later in the week we made snowy scenes using cotton wool and glitter and tried painting using ice cubes. We also made ice cream and tasted it on Friday. It was yummy. The recipe is below! We finished the week by setting up an experiment to find out if all liquids froze. Unfortunately the weather turned warmer and we had to repeat the experiment in the freezer.

Banana Ice Cream Recipe

2 bananas

125ml double cream

35g of Caster sugar

1) Mash the bananas in a bowl.

2) Add the double cream and sugar to the bowl.

3) Whisk the mixture together.

4) Pour the mixture into a container and put it into the freezer.

5) As the ice cream starts to freeze, stir it to break up the ice crystals and return to the freezer.
